Richland School Library
Note to Parents:
Many students in grades 6-8 are scheduled to visit the library for a 30-minute class. High School students visit with their class or between classes and at breaks. Students are allowed to check out three books at a time or more with permission from the librarian. Books are considered overdue after two weeks. Students are encouraged to return overdue books as soon as possible and are not allowed to check out additional books until the overdue books are returned. You will be expected to pay the replacement cost of a book should it become lost or damaged while in the student’s possession. With this in mind, please encourage your child not to loan his/her book to other students. All students must have a signed permission note on file with the librarian.
The price of quality children’s books rises every year and makes it difficult to maintain a quality collection. As a parent, you can help by reinforcing positive book handling at home and encouraging your child to return the book on time.
Book Memorials & Donations:
Our library receives donations "in honor of" and "in memory of." If you would like make a donation to our school in whatever amount you desire a special bookplate containing donor and other information will be placed in the front of each book, and each one will be a lasting tribute.
If you would like to have a book placed in our library "in honor of" or "in memory of" someone special, please get in touch with our library.
