Homeless Children and Youth

The Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) program, authorized under the Title VII-B of the McKinney-Vento Act, was reauthorized in Dec. 2015 by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Education for Homeless Children and Youth

Giles County Schools wants to ensure we meet the needs of all of our students. Section 504

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974 states, "No toherwise qualified individual wtih handicaps in the United States . . . shall, solely by reason of his or her handicap, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance." 29 USC § 794
